Heidi & Jonnathan’s wedding was full of DIY flourishes that enhanced the already charming setting at Postlewait’s Farm. The bride made many of the decorations as well as some really cool clutch’s for her bridesmaids to carry instead of a traditional bouquet. To see more of her big ideas and creative designs, check out her blog: Unabashed Bliss. It was a gorgeous day for a celebration under the towering oak trees, surrounded by the fields of the Willamette Valley. We were even treated to an amazing sunset, complete with rainbow to round out the evening!
The recipe for a marvelous wedding can really be quite simple: delicious food, good friends, & great wine mixed together in a stunning landscape. This was Leigh & Ron’s approach to their Oregon wine-country wedding, and it made for quite a meaningful and memorable day! Friends and family gathered under the giant oak trees at Stoller Vineyards to witness their marriage and then celebrate with plenty of wine from the vineyard and fresh seasonal fare from prepared by Simpatica. Everything was brought together by the expert coordination of Nadia from Creations by Ly.
Laughter and joy abound when you are around Leigh & Ron! There were a lot of smiles and definitely a few tears. Getting to know them this year, from their epic engagement session to shedding a few tears ourselves at their wedding toasts, has truly been a pleasure. Congratulations to you both, and thank you for choosing us to capture this part of your life together!
This is a special image for us in so many ways! My brother and new sister-in-law Brooke emerge from the pool with a mixture of joy and pure exhilaration on their faces after Matt was tossed in by a dozen guys (half of which ended up in the pool as well) & Brooke jumped in after him. These are the fleeting moments frozen in time that fuel & inspire us as photographers.
Simply elegant details set the tone for Mindy & Walter’s wedding celebration at Portland’s Arista Ballroom. We love all of the classic black-and-white touches here–from the tablecloths to Mindy’s pearls. Photographing such a stunning couple in the middle of it all was just an added bonus!
Friends & family from around the country convened in the Columbia River Gorge to celebrate the marriage of Scott & Margi! Their wedding and celebration took place at Mt. Hood Organic Farms, a beautiful venue in the heart of one of our favorite locations in the state–the upper Hood River Valley!
Many of the details from their day highlight the very best of Oregon and say a lot about this couple’s commitment to environmental sustainability in both their personal and professional lives. There were many local & regional touches planned into the day that we are excited to share! The delicious locavore dinner included loads of summer goodness from small farms in the area, and many of the flowers were harvested from the venue itself. Scott even brewed up 4 different batches of beer for the occasion! For favors, the couple picked three of their favorite environmental charities and supplied rustic wood tokens to represent donations made in their guests’ honor. To top it all off, they had one of the most original and awesome “guestbooks” we have ever seen! Have you ever signed a pair of antique skis at a wedding!?
We were so honored to be able to capture this special wedding, and we hope you enjoy the images as much as we loved making them!
