This joyous and fun-loving couple created a truly unique celebration at the incomparable Mt. Hood Organic Farms. Their infectious enthusiasm for each other radiated throughout the evening, and their guests really enjoyed watching them perform the entire choreographed sequence from the movie Dirty Dancing for their first dance. Well done!!
Chasing the sunset at Alloro Vineyards with these two was a perfect way to spend a Summer evening. We are so looking forward to their wedding in the Columbia River Gorge later this year!
Waverly Country Club, set on the banks of the Willamette River just outside Portland, was the perfect setting for this classically stylish wedding between two of the most genuinely caring people we have ever met. Congratulations Elise & Ray!
There were many amazing attributes to Sydney and Jonathan’s wedding: a stellar day with an incomparable view, the freshest produce we have ever tasted, and a vintage green volkswagen westfalia. Just one of those things would have made our day, but the highlight may have been when Sydney’s father got his first glimpse of his daughter in her wedding dress. It was certainly the most emotional father/daughter first-look that we have experienced.
It’s always beautiful to see how two families come together. Sydney & Jonathan have been dating since high-school and their relationship is mirrored in the closeness of their families, which both contributed a great deal to make this day a success.
How many couples do you know take the time to create hand-crafted papier-mâché animal masks for their wedding party and family? Before meeting Bridie & John, we would have had to answer “none”, even after working with hundreds of amazing couples over the years. They gifted these works of art to their loved ones before the wedding, and we had a great time photographing everyone from the fox & lion to numerous birds and a father-in-law as a cranky old goat. We were treated to even more surprises as we witnessed the groom’s family introduce everyone to their time-honored toasting tradition of swilling champagne from a steel bucket! This was an incredibly unique celebration for a wonderful couple, and we couldn’t have been happier to be a part of it and document all the joy and fun these two have together. Seeing the the sun set over the mountain at one of our favorite venues, Mt. Hood Organic Farms, wasn’t too bad either!
We love the urban textures and backgrounds at Castaway, one of Portland’s best industrial venues, but the continuous joy expressed by this lovely couple was certainly the highlight of the day!
Rebecca & Michael had a touching ceremony, with a few non-traditional twists, on a gorgeous July day at Bridal Veil Lakes. They greeted guests with a cocktail hour as they arrived, and in-lieu of a wedding party, had three different couples share some words of wisdom during the ceremony. It was a beautiful start to this new stage in their relationship & the surroundings were equally amazing!
We recently spent a magical Fall day enjoying all the colors of Portland with Christine & Alex, from the leaves of the Hoyt Arboretum to some of the city’s newest and most striking architecture on the Eastside. Now, it’s time to settle into the grey and rain while we eagerly await their wedding this July.
Jen & Seth are the perfect example of two creative individuals coming together to form one amazing couple. Building on their creative strengths, they brought many thoughtful touches to this endearing celebration. Jen is a talented graphic designer and designed all of the paper goods, from their save-the-dates to the menus for dinner. Seth is an industrial designer & engineering wizard who created and built one of the coolest features for a wedding that we have encountered in quite a while: a wooden geometric sculpture that served as the backdrop for their head table (as well as an excellent photo background). It was an honor to document the wedding of this dynamic duo in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge!
